Upcoming courses

TALENT courses planned for 2019 and 2020:

  • The first edition of Course 11 on Learning from Data:Bayesian Methods and Machine Learning will be held in June, 2019 at the University of York in the UK. See the preliminary information and contact Dick Furnstahl (furnstahl.1@osu.edu) to get on a mailing list.
  • The second edition of Course 1: Nuclear forces entitled "From quarks and gluons to nuclear forces and structure" will be held July 15 to August 2, 2019 at the ECT*. The main lecturers will be Zohreh Davoudi, Evgeny Epelbaum, Dean Lee, Tom Luu, and Andrea Shindler. Details to follow.
  • TENTATIVE: The second edition of Course 6: Theory for exploring nuclear reaction experiments will be held in summer, 2019 at FRIB (Michigan State University). The organizers are Charlotte Elster and Carl Brune. Details to follow.
  • The first edition of Course 8 on Theoretical approaches to describe exotic nuclei will be titled Atomic Nuclei as Open Quantum Systems: Unifying Nuclear Structure and Reactions. It will be offered in the summer of 2020 at the INT. The principal lecturers will be Christian Forssén (Chalmers University of Technology), Witek Nazarewicz (Michigan State University), Marek Ploszajczak (GANIL), and Alexander Volya (Florida State University).
